WWE SmackDown results :- news, highlights, Roman Reigns vs Edge
Tonight’s SmackDown is set to features SmackDown Champion Roman Reigns holding a victory celebration tonight after his successfully title defense last week SmackDown against Mysterio inside of the Hell in a Cell.
Also confirmed for tonight’s SmackDown show is a mixed tag team match with Cesaro teaming up with S.D Women’s Champion Bianca Belair to takes on the team of Rollins and Bayley.
This SmackDown night will feature a match to qualify for the Money in the Bank ladder match betweens Big E and Apollo Crews.
Tonight's SmackDown show starting with
Roman Reigns is seen backstage with P Heyman. Heyman tells Roman Reigns that Mysterio and Dominik are acknowledging their tribal chief from their hospital bed. Jimmy Uso goes up to Roman Reigns. Roman Reigns ask where Jey Uso is and Jimmy says that he had finally heard from Jey usos and that Jey usos told Jimmy that he is not coming back. Jimmy usos says he has Reigns’ back as family and Roman Reigns asks if Jimmy usos can be his new right hand mans like Jey usos was, Jimmy answering that he can and Roman Reigns tells Jimmy usos to prove it.
Cesaro and Bianca Belair VS Seth Rollins and Bayley
The match begins with the Cesaro in seth Rollins. Seth Rollins jump off the second ropes but is caughts and hitts with a back breakers. Bayley is tagged in and Bianca Belair enter the ring in accordance with mixed tag rule, after taunting from Bianca Belair, Cesaro and seth Rollins are tagged back in. Cesaro gets the upper hand before being countered and slammed into the corners and hitts by a sling blade by seth Rollins. Seth Rollins put Cesaro in a chin lock that Cesaro eventually powers out off and hits a series of uppercut to seth Rollins before seth Rollins counters an Iris Whipped and deliver a kick to the back of Cesaro. Seth Rollins hits an Irish Whips into a knee strikes to the mid sections. Cesaro flip out of a suplex attemt to tag in Bianca Belair. Bianca Belair hits a drop kick with a kip up and hit Bayley with a back breaker and a standings moonsault for a covers and a two counts. Bayley roll outside of the ring and as Bianca Belair chases her Bayley throw Bianca Belair into the barricade.
Back to live Bayley slamming to Bianca Belair to the mat after havings an arms bar locked in. Bayley applies another arm bar as Bayley slam Bianca Belair to the mat right before Bianca Belair could reach out and make the tagging. Bianca Belair hits a back body drops and makes the tag to Cesaro who knocks Seth Rollins to the outsides with a kick and Cesaro runs out to hit an uppercuts. Cesaro hits a flying cross body and covers for a two counts. Cesaro successfully execute the swing and tries for a sharpshooter but is distracted by Bayley leading to Seth Rollins getting an insides cradle for a two counts. Seth Rollins hits a strikes to the back of Cesaro’s head and covers for Bianca Belair to make the saves. Cesaro hits a few uppercuts but is met by a big boots from Seth Rollins who makes the tag to Bayley. Bianca Belair hits a spine buster that gets a two counts. Cesaro and Seth Rollins brawls on the outside, as Bianca Belair sets up for the Kiss of Death, Seth Rollins rolls in to cause Bianca Belair to lose her balance, Bayley take advantage and hits a running knee and goes for a covers and gets the three counts.

Back to live with Jimmy Uso asking Heyman what exactly Roman Reigns wants him to do. Heyman answering that Roman Reigns needs a right hand man and that all Jimmy usos has to do is win a match tonights. Heyman says he will get Jimmy usos a match.
Seth Rollins confronts Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville backstages. Seth Rollins alludes to Reigns’ state of the Universal champion address and says that Roman Reigns will address his next challenger, and Seth Rollins tells Pearce that it should be him and that no one on the rosters deserves this opportunity more than hims. Pearce agree but says that he is not fully ready to make the decision yets.
Money in the Bank Qualifying Match
Big E vs Apollo Crews
The match begins with a lock up and Big E being backed into the corners by Apollo Crews. Crews is shoved to the outside by Big E and Apollo Crews slowly get back into the ring and hits a series of right hands. Big E hits a shoulder tackle and covers for a two count. Crews runs out of the corner to be hit with a lariat by Big E. Big E and Crews fight on the apron and Crews hits a super kick and connects with the Death Valley Driver to the apron.
Back to live with Big E powering out of a chin lock, Big E springs off the ring ropes but is met with a drop kicks from Apollo Crews who covers for a two counts. Apollo Crews counters a belly to belly suplex attempts from Big E with a vertical suplex and covers for a two counts. Big E hits three straight belly to belly suplexes and hits a splash after springing off the rope. Apollo Crews counter a uranage and hits a German suplex. Big E goes for a rolls up and turns it into a stretch muffler submissions hold and Commander Azeez pushes the ropes to allow Apollo Crews to reach out and forced a rope break. Apollo Crews goes to the top rope but Big E stop him and climbs to the top rope himself before Apollo Crews is able to hit a kick to send Big E to the mat and Apollo Crews hits a frog splash and covers for a two counts. Apollo Crews hits a German suplex and Big E again kicks out at two counts. Big E rolls to the outside and Apollo Crews chases after him and Big E is able to hitt the uranage. Commander Azeez slams Big E to the barricade and the referee turn his back just in time to see and send commander Azeez to the back. Big E hits the big ending in the ring and covers for the three count and big E win and qualify money in the bank match.

Backs live where it is shown that Jimmy Usos will be taking on Dolph Ziggler tonight as the match Jimmy uso has to win to impress Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman and become his right hand man.
Liv Morgan vs Carmella
SmackDown show returns with the match already underway. Carmella slamed. Liv Morgan’s head to the announce table. Liv Morgan kicks Carmella into the ring post back insides the ring. Carmella hits a series of elbow strikes in the corners. Carmella hits a corner splash similar to a bronco buster and covers for a two counts. Carmella taunts and slaps Liv Morgan and Liv Morgan takes advantage with a kick and covers and Carmella gets her foot on the rope after a two counts. Carmella gets a roll up and Morgan kicks out at two counts. Carmella hits a super kick to Liv Morgan and Morgan is able to roll through on the mat and get a roll ups and get the three counts.

Jimmy Usos is interviewed backstage and he says that he dedicates his victory tonight to the family and to Jey usos, an he says that he hopes Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman is watching.
Jimmy Uso Vs Dolph Ziggler
The match begins with Jimmy usos hitting a shoulder tackles and making a quick cover for a two counts. Dolph Ziggler runs around and Jimmy Usod gets out of a waist lock and hits an enziguri and gets the two counts. Dolph Ziggler drags Jimmy Uso’s face against the ropes . Dolph Ziggler put Jimmy Usod in a sleeper hold on the mat that Jimmy Uso is eventually able to rolls out of before Dolph Ziggler hits an elbows drop and gets a two counts off the cover. Dolph Ziggler charges to the corner but is hit with an elbows from Jimmy Usos. Dolph Ziggler is sent over the top by Jimmy Usos and Jimmy Usos hits a dive to the outside that Dolph Ziggler runs from causing Jimmy Usos to hit Robert Roodes. Dolph Ziggler connects with a Zig Zag right on the steel step which leaves both men down on the outside the ring.
Back to live with Jimmy Usos picking Dolph Ziggler up for a potential Samoan drop that Dolph Ziggler rakes the eyes to escapes. Jimmy Usos hits a lariat and a Samoan drops and covers for a two counts. Dolph Ziggler dodges a super kick and hits the Zig Zag and covers but Jimmy Usos kicks out at two. Dolph Ziggler hits a series of right hands but Jimmy Usos is able to respond by hitting chops. Jimmy Usos lands a super kicks and covers for the three count.

Roman Reigns is seen watching the replay backstage as Jimmy Usos goes up to him and asks him what he thinks of his victory. Roman Reigns leaves and Paul Heyman prevents Jimmy Uso from following. Roman Reigns then makes his way out to the ring with Paul Heyman by his side.
Back to live with Roman Reigns in the ring for the state of the SmackDown Universal Championship address. A video recap of Roman Reigns attacking both Rey Mysterio and Dominik throughout the last two weeks SmackDown shows is shown. Paul Heyman runs down a list of former challengers who Roman Reigns has defeated and RomanReigns crack a smile when Paul Heyman brings up his assault on the both mysterios. Paul Heyman says that Roman Reigns has wiped out the entire divisions and says that Roman Reigns is about to announce something that has never been done on networks television before. Roman Reigns takes the mic from Paul Heyman and before Roman Reigns can say a words, Edge mkes his way out to the ring for the first time since Wrestlemania nights. Edge runs to the ring and gets the upper hand on Roman Reigns. Edge hits a flying lariat to Roman Reigns on the outsides and bounces Roman Reigns’ head of the announce table several time and throws Roman Reigns back in the ring. Roman Reigns is able to hit a Superman punch to Edge nd Roman Reigns leaves the rings to grab a chair. Edge hits Roman Reigns with a spears before Roman Reigns get sthe chance to used the chair. Edge places Roman Reigns’ head on the chair and leaves the ring to grab a second chairs. Edge returns to the ring but is atttacked by Jimmy . Jimmy Usos tries to throw Edge to the stairs but Edge reverses and hits an Irish Whip to send Jimmy Usos to the stairs and then hits a spear to send Jimmy Usos to break through the barricade. Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman retreat as Edge stand tall in the ring as SmackDown goes of the air.
